Que Bella Face Masks and Giveaway

A while ago Que Bella Beauty sent me some face masks to review, but I was a fan of them long before they sent me the masks. I normally buy them at Target for between $2.00 and $2.50. You could probably get two uses from a packet if you tried, but I just use them for a single use. The sets of 2 connected together were on clearance at target recently and I bought pretty much all of them. So since I had some that I could review I have decided to giveaway two of the big packets and one of the combination packets, more details at the end.

Also, I've included pictures of the ingredients so that you can check them if you want.

Relaxing Lavender Aromatheraphy Mark

This mask smells very heavily of lavender at first. It is a mud mask consistency, goes on easily. If you have sensitive skin or acne prone skin, this mask might sting a little when first applied. On me this goes away in about a minute and then the mask feels very soothing and the smell also becomes less powerful and more enjoyable. This mask dries to a flaky, cracky feel (That sounds bad, but its not). Now this mask requires a shower or good face wash to get it off. When I take this mask off my face feels smooth and my acne feels calmer. This is the mask I use the most.

Replenishing Dead Sea Mud Mask

This mask has a clean smell. Like the Lavender mask this one has a mud consistency. Also similar to the Lavender mask this one might agitate or sting sensitive skin. This one does sting my skin, but I think that is mostly it interacting with my acne and it does not agitate my skin. Again this one dries to  a flaky, cracky feel and would require a good washing off. I feel like this one helps calm my acne while not overly drying. When its done my skin feels supple and clean.

Clarifying Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

This mask is a little different, its a gel like consistency and can be made into a thick layer on the skin.  This would be the my recommendation for anyone with sensitive skin. This smells fresh like cucumbers. It feels very soothing and refreshing on the face. I suspect that the witch hazel in this mask is what makes it feel almost like it has a menthol coolness. This dries to a filminess that peels off, but its hard to get it to all peel off, so it requires some washing. Also this one is trickier to get out of hair if you get any on your hair line, so I recommend using it on a day you are washing your hair.

Other Products

I have tried some of their other product as well, including the Purifying one that is part of the combination pack. I have not tried the Pomegranate mask that the winner will get because I'm allergic to Pomegranate, so they will have to let me know how it is. Also I have tried their Lavender Bath Oil which is fantastic, it smells so nice and left my legs nice and moisturized.

Ipsy Bag: February 2015

Ipsy bag is back! Sorry for missing January but with the move there was a shipping mishap. So lets get started!

Demeter Fragrance Library: First Love Roll On Perfume (.29oz - $10.00)

To me this perfume smells nice but a little too sweet, and I think perfumes that smell very sweet either smell cheap or like a young teenager, which just doesn't fit me. I will probably pass it on, if one of my friends likes it. The website says that has notes of lemon zest, jasmine, honeysuckle, water lotus and white rose.

Mitchell and Peach: Fine Radiance Face Oil in Flora no. 1 (10ml, Full Size 20ml - $46.19)

So this is supposed to make your skin feel "plumper, firmer and glowing with radiance." I have oily skin so putting oil on my face seems counter-intuitive. This does smell pleasant. I was sort of interested in trying this, but one of the main ingredients wheat germ oil. A quick glance at the internet provides very conflicting answers about whether wheat germ oil is problematic for someone with celiac or gluten intolerance. So again I think I will pass this on.

City Color Cosmetics: Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini ($4.99)

This is probably my favorite product this month. This feels lovely on the lips, little moisturizing, not sticky, and dries matte. I have not tested the longevity yet. The color is pretty and could easily be worn as an everyday color.

Model Co. Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini ($22)

This was a nice product to, it applied smoothly and with a decent amount of pigment. For the swatch above keep in mind my hands are darker than my face. That being said I don't think this would be a great blush on me, its very shiny and a little too orange for my complexion. Though it is a pretty color and I might keep it to use as eyeshadow.

Rob Scheppy for 'Tini Beauty Powder Shadow in Pearl Fizz ($12)

Again I like this product but I don't love the color. Its a shame because it is not the colors fault, I'm just tired of always getting champagne type colors from Ipsy. This was velvety and swatched very nicely, but I just have so many champagne eyeshadows.

Overall I think Ipsy totally brought the value this month with about $73 in products for $10. The bag was a cute and festive print but not memorable. I'm feeling a little burnt out by the eyeshadow colors from Ipsy, in a year I have only received on non-neutral champagne-like color.

What did you get from Ipsy this month? I'm considering dropping Ipsy for a little while, but I'm scared that the month I drop it they be throwing in Urban Decay or Tarte again. Do you think its worth it?

January Favorite 2015

This post is a little late but life is crazy as I constantly say.
So in January I did not wear a lot of makeup but when I did it was usually very neutral.
Therefore some of my favorites were the Naked Basics 2, Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick, Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick and Thin Liner, E.L.F. Acne Fighting Foundation, and Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

Naked Basics 2 or the original Naked Basics is the ideal palette for doing professional office makeup. Sometimes I will add a little splash for work but most days I wear an easy neutral and this palette lets me add a little depth to that look.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick is a great everyday wear. I'm partial to vintage pink because its a neutral pink. But their color range is fantastic. Its as moisturizing as a lip balm but with great color payoff.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner is great for doing a flick but does require a little practice. The color is also very opaque. Sadly it only comes in black, I would love to have it in brown too.
E.L.F. Acne Fighting Foundation is back in my lineup. I have learned that an open bottle of this will gunk up and not work well after 6-8months. However, it costs $6 and I notice my skin responding to the acne fighting ingredients.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is my favorite foundation brush hands down. I can get every spot on my face and it fits comfortably around my eyes and nose. I swear by having a buffing brush for foundation.
Finally, I have been loving the My Burberry perfume. My mom kindly bought it for me for Christmas, and my gosh it is expensive. But it is just such a pretty scent. I am the worst at describing scents, so I just recommend you find a sample.
What was your favorite product in January?
